PS 165 FXE
PS 165 FXE
2 separate way kit 16.5 cm bi-amplifiable
The PS 165 FXE kits provide you with a high-quality on-board listening experience as well as ease of installation of the system in your vehicle. Combining the best of Flax technology with the latest Focal innovations, these speakers deliver natural sound with striking realism.
SOUND CONTROL
Combined with the Flax diaphragm, the patented woofer surround provides better control of diaphragm movement, for greater neutrality and linearity of sound, and ever denser bass. The central ogive contributes to better sound dispersion.
CUSTOMIZED TREBLE
Focal's "M" profile TAM tweeters offer a wider diffusion angle and remarkable sound definition. Their inclined stand makes installation easy. A compact, pre-wired audiophile crossover completes the kit.
BI-AMPLIFIABLE SOLUTION
PS 165 FXE can be powered by two separate amplifiers to optimize sound reproduction. In bi-amplification, for example, you can dedicate one amplifier for bass and another for treble.

TECHNOLOGIES
TMD SUSPENSION
Stabilized surround, eliminates vibrations
While our engineers are experts in the development of exclusive diaphragms, they also innovate in all the components that make up the loudspeakers, such as the surround that connects the diaphragm to the frame, the performance of which must be mastered. Introduced in 2015, Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) technology with harmonic damping consists of the addition of finely positioned toroidal weights to stabilize the surround for even greater sonic neutrality. This technology enhances the midrange and the erratic behavior of the surround between 1 kHz and 2 kHz.
TAM TWEETER
Wide diffusion angle
Membrane shape and materials are essential for high-fidelity reproduction. Focal engineers have designed the TAM tweeter. Manufactured in our workshops in France, it boasts a number of advantages, particularly in terms of wide-angle diffusion. Comprising an aluminum/magnesium inverted dome cone with an "M" profile for even greater rigidity, it delivers flawless harmonic balance and detailed treble. The presence of a decompression chamber limits disturbances caused by rear waves, for even greater sonic clarity.
